No install, no extension, just a tab
A "browser-based" tool can mean different things — some still require a browser extension to be installed, which comes with its own permissions and update surface. PrivaPDF needs neither: it's a regular web page that happens to run a full PDF processing engine, compiled to WebAssembly, inside the tab itself.
That means it works identically whether you're on a locked-down work laptop where you can't install extensions, a shared computer, or your own machine — open the page, and the converter is already there.
