Choosing a page-to-image export size

Exporting PDF pages as images is common for pulling a diagram or table out for a slide deck, posting a document excerpt on social media, or generating thumbnails for a document management system. The right resolution depends on the destination: screen use (social posts, previews) needs far less than print.

PrivaPDF renders each page at a configurable resolution before exporting, so you're not stuck with either blurry low-res images or unnecessarily large files — and because rendering happens in your browser, nothing about the document's content is sent anywhere just to generate a picture of it.

Open DevTools → Network while converting. You'll see zero outbound requests. Every byte stays inside your browser tab.

Common questions

Is my file uploaded to a server?

No. All processing happens entirely in your browser using WebAssembly. Your file never leaves your device.

Does this work offline?

Yes. Once the page is loaded, you can disconnect from the internet and the tool will still work perfectly.
