Removing pages vs. splitting a PDF

Splitting and deleting are really the same underlying operation viewed from different angles: splitting keeps the pages you select and discards the rest as separate files, while deleting keeps everything except the pages you select, as one combined file. PrivaPDF's page tool handles both by letting you visually select which pages to keep or remove before exporting.

Common cases: stripping a blank page left over from scanning, removing an outdated cover sheet before forwarding a document, or cutting a page containing information you don't want to share with a particular recipient — all without needing to touch the remaining pages' content or order.

Common questions

Does deleting pages change the rest of the document?

No. The remaining pages keep their original content and order; only the selected pages are removed from the final file.

Can I remove a page and split the rest into separate files?

Yes. The same page-selection tool used for splitting a PDF can be used to remove unwanted pages while grouping the remaining pages however you like.

Is my file uploaded to a server?

No. All processing happens entirely in your browser using WebAssembly. Your file never leaves your device.

Does this work offline?

Yes. Once the page is loaded, you can disconnect from the internet and the tool will still work perfectly.
