How to Sign a PDF on iOS (iPhone & iPad)
Signing a PDF on your iPhone is extremely convenient and doesn't require printing or paid apps. Here are the two best ways to sign a document on iOS.
Method 1: Using the Files App (Built-in Markup)
Apple includes a powerful markup tool inside the Files app:
- Open the Files app and select your PDF.
- Tap the Markup icon (the pen tip) in the top-right corner.
- Tap the "+" button and select "Signature".
- Draw your signature with your finger or Apple Pencil, then place it on the page.
Method 2: Using PrivaPDF in Safari (Universal & Private)
If you are already browsing or want to sign without saving to the Files app first:
- Open Safari and go to the PrivaPDF Sign Tool.
- Select your PDF.
- Draw your signature on the screen and tap to place it.
- Download the signed PDF directly to your downloads folder.
